Hanauma Bay implements reservation system

A brand new reservation system has just been implemented for Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve in Honolulu on Oahu. This new online reservation system allows visitors to book a specific time of arrival up to 48 hours in advance.Reservations are available in 10-minute increments starting at 7am and running to 1:40pm.

At the time of implementation, securing a reservation is free, but it is anticipated that it will eventually become a paid service. Though reservations are free, a parking fee of $3 per non-resident and $1 per resident is required. Additionally, non-residents of Hawaii are required to pay a $12 entry fee for each person ages 13 and up. Hawaii residents are allowed free entry with acceptable identification.

In addition to the reservation system, the park will continue to allow drive-in and walk-in visitors.

Currently the bay is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 6:45am to 4pm. Entry is not allowed after 2pm. All visitors must exit by 4pm.
